So I reluctantly started calling other schools today about transferring, just to see what sort of options I have. I mean I reeeallly dont want to change majors (im either EE or Mech) so I have to consider some sort of backup plan.... (but believe me theres no place I'd rather be than Tulane right now)
Well the reason I'm posting is because i'm getting no sympathy. This whole renewal plan is not as well known as Katrina, and colleges are not exactly patient enough to listen to my story. So what is the result?... I am hoping now more than ever that we can restore the Engineering program at Tulane. For my backup options are far too few.
I mean I've only been able to attend Tulane because of lots of scholarship money. The other places I applied offered me money too, but after I called them recently, that money is nowhere to be found. Transfer students seem to be low on the totem pole in receving scholarships, and it seems I may have to transfer to my local state school... God help me...
Now I'm forced to consider the possibility of changing my majors... all because I want to go to Tulane that badly. I might major in math or physics, but this was not what I had in mind... I chose a school with Engineering to keep my options open.
There go my options.... _________________ Scott Kensell
